	KNOW YOUR REACTION STYLE

In everyday life we confront numerous situations and handle it, but how? The way we deal with people or situations exhibits our reaction style. This reaction style plays a crucial role in our personality, confidence and others opinions about us. Here is a quiz which will make you aware of your reaction style.

Instructions for the quiz

There are 10 situational statements given below.
Each situation has 3 responses alongwith .
Choose the option reflecting your response or reaction in the same situation.
Neither any of the given options is right or wrong, it is just your reaction.
Do not spend too much time thinking about any of the situations.

At a resturant you ordered steamed rice but when your order came it was fried rice. You would

	Accept it, since you sort of like it well done anyway
	Angrily refuse the fried rice and insist on seeing the manager to complain about the poor service
	Call the waiter and indicate you ordered steam rice, then turn it back

You are waiting in line to buy movie tickets. Suddenly, someone steps in line ahead of you. You would

	Let the person be ahead of you feeling that its okay, does not make a difference
	Pull the person out of line and make him/her go to the back
	Indicate to the person that you are in line and point out where it begins

After walking out of a store where you purchased some items you discover that you did not get back the remaining balance. You will

	Let it go since you are already out of the store and have no proof that balance was not returned to you
	Go to the manager and indicate how the cashier fooled you, then demand the balance
	Return to the cashier and inform him/her of the error

You are in the middle of watching a very interesting television program when your mother comes in and asks you for a favor. You would

	Do the favor as quickly as possible, after all you can not say 'no' to your mother
	Pretend as if you did not hear it
	Request her to wait until the program is over

Some unwanted person is trying to get into your group when you plan a movie with your close friends. You would

	Let him/her come along but do not interact and pretend that you are enjoying
	Refuse outrightly to him/her and tell your friends clearly about it.
	Explain your close friends about your repulsion by this person and tell him/ her to accompany your group next time.

Its your birthday party and your friend wants to get along another guy that you do not like. You would

	Let him come, after all its your birthday and you do not want to sound rude
	Tell that other guy to leave your party
	Discuss it with your friend, that since you do not like the other guy so he should not be there

You feel a friend is holding a grudge against you, but you don't know why. You would

	Pretend you are unaware of his/her anger and ignore it, hoping it will correct itself
	Get even with the person somehow so he/she will learn not to hold grudges against you
	Ask the person if they are angry, then try to be understanding.

You bring your computer for repairs and receive a written estimate. But later, when you take back the computer, you are billed for additional work and for an amount higher than the estimate. You would

	Pay the bill since the computer must have needed the extra repairs anyway
	Refuse to pay, and then complain to the owner and threaten them to take them to Consumer Court.
	Indicate to the manager that you agreed only to the estimated amount, then pay only that amount.

You invite a good friend to your house for a dinner party, but your friend never arrives and neither calls to cancel nor to apologize. You would

	Ignore it, but manage not to show up the next time your friend invites you to a party
	Never speak to this person again and end the friendship
	Call your friend to find out what happened, and politely convey that you did not like this

While you are sitting in a group, a friend asks you a question which you are not comfortable answering. You would

	Give a false, but plausible answer so your that your other group mates think you are on top of things
	Do not answer, but attack your co-workerfriend by asking a question you know he/she could not answer.
